The Best Socks for New Walkers

Y’all I’m one of those people who cannot shut up about something I love. And these socks are no exception! As a Mama of a child with mild hypotonia that led to delayed motor milestones and overall clumsiness, these socks literally changed our lives. These have quickly become my top baby sock recommendation for new walkers! Bonus points because these socks also stay on!

As Ada June was learning to walk, I tried to keep her barefoot because I wanted to practice what I preached, right?! Barefoot is best. But in our old 1940s home filled with poorly insulated hardwood floors, it became difficult in the winter months to continue allowing her to be without socks at minimum. ⁣

So, after much pleading from my Gramma, I began putting socks on her—only to find that this not only caused her to slip & fall more often but actually led to her being more fearful of trying to walk. ⁣

Enter: the socks with grippers that *actually work*. Ada June was finally able to stand with confidence, my Gramma could quit telling me she was going to catch a cold, and she could easily navigate her climbing toys without constantly slipping!⁣

If you’re in the market for shoes, you know I love Ten Little! You’ll also find some of my favorite shoe recommendations on my Amazon Storefront.
